Nov. 8th, 2015 11:56 amThis is the OOC/Permissions post for Zebediah Kilgrave (AKA Purple Man) from Marvel's Jessica Jones (MCU). His wiki and comic-verse history can be found here.
Below, there will be spoilers regarding his abilities in the show and how he uses them.
Powers
Kilgrave is a man of terrible influence. He has the ability to control people's will and make them do whatever he wants. He has used this power to gain wealth and to amuse himself. Canonically, this may include coercion into sexual activity, committing crimes, including robbery, assault, and murder, self-harm, and suicide.
Kilgrave's compulsions are strong. If he orders you to do something, you will do it, despite how illogical, uncomfortable, impossible, or frightening it is, and you will not stop until the order is complete. This may include some loopholes that can be exploited in order to complete his tasks.
The virus he emits initially has life of roughly 12 hours before the effects wear off. Later on, the lifespan of his will can last over 24 hours without contact, and can be executed from 100 yards away.
His power can be overcome through a sheer force of will, but it takes much, much more than most average people are able to muster, and in some cases, requires intense psychic training to do so.

It should go without saying that Kilgrave is a mind controller. If you as a player don't think you can handle his character, please send me a Private Message and we can find a workaround, or avoid it completely.
